We asked for feedback from staff and it incredible! We have received a massive thumbs up with the social workers and care staff and these packs have been real ice-breakers with the families that come to them.
"The packs allow us to spend more time with the family & I especially enjoy being able to get down on the floor with the kids to explore the packs. I have used the blankets as a way to establish emotional & physical safety with the children & on a few occasions we have used the blankets to make dens, make special beds for teddies & on a couple of occasions mums have even taken advantage of an opportunity to play...Wrapping children up and rolling them into the blankets, led by the child."
This pilot project is now going to be rolled out across South Lanarkshire. This is a costly project but we have been delighted to have had donations from the community to help us and we are currently trying to apply for funding.
